State Emergency Service of Ukraine rescuers are helping to put out large-scale fires in Greece (PHOTOS)


 

During August 7, a combined detachment of SES numbering 100 people on the outskirts of Spathari in Greece eliminated some fires on the front of 2,250 m, depth up to 200 m, rescued 2 settlements in Spatari, and in the village of Metokhy (27 residential buildings, 1 cult building, 33 outbuildings, 1 granary, 1 shelter for dogs, 54 hives and a flock of sheep).

Firefighting work is underway, information is being updated.

It will be recalled that on August 6, a combined detachment of firefighters from across the country arrived in Greece to help fight large-scale forest fires. To fulfill the task of President Volodymyr Zelensky and the decision of the Government, hundreds of rescuers from the State Emergency Service with the necessary equipment took off from Kyiv Airport.
